Garnet: January Birthstone

Don't you just love the deep red color of garnets? I especially love them with gold hardware. They compliment each other perfectly.

Garnet, the January birthstone, is most commonly red but can also come in other colors like green and brown. And now you learned something new today. :)

Anyone have an extra million lying around?

If so, you could own the world's largest emerald. It's up for auction at the end of this month in Canada and is about 12 inches long! It was appraised for $1.15 million, but could go for more.
